2016 Northern Lights Photography Workshop Slideshow

Watching the Northern Lights dance across the arctic sky is an amazing experience. Sharing the experience with a small group of good-natured photographers makes witnessing a magical light show even better. It brings me great pleasure to share this multimedia slideshow from my recent Night Skies and the Northern Lights Photography Workshop with the world today.

I am so proud of the images that everyone captured despite the challenging conditions. All of the images in this slideshow make me smile. We picked a cold week to visit beautiful Churchill, Manitoba. It is hard to get motivated to go out and shoot when the temperature drops all the way down to -33°F. But nobody complained and nobody gave up. I could not have asked for better companions on this adventure!

Thank you to all of the wonderful folks who call Churchill home. A huge thank you to all of the staff and volunteers at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre. Our journey north would not be possible without your superb facilities and your amazing hospitality. Finally, a huge thank you to Dr. Jim Halfpenny and A Naturalist’s World for arranging such a fabulous photography workshop experience.
