Desert Skies: My Grand Canyon Time-Lapse Movie

The night sky above Grand Canyon National Park is an amazing sight. I was blessed with the chance last fall to spend a month floating down the Colorado River shooting pictures all day and all night. For much of the trip, we were treated to a string of beautiful clear nights where the stars glowed like diamonds above the towering cliff walls. The time-lapse video below is my best attempt at sharing the wonder and magic of the desert sky at night.

Each night, I set my camera up and let it fire away until the batteries died at the desert sky. It has taken me months to process thousands of raw images and to compile the results into this short time-lapse movie. What you see here was created using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, the incredible LrTimeLapse software, and Adobe Premier CC.
