The rugged and expansive coast of Oregon is the perfect place to learn long exposure and basic time-lapse photography techniques. In this four-day workshop, sponsored by the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, you will learn how to create captivating time-lapse video clips and still photographs using long exposures and neutral density filters.
Students in this short field course will learn:
-How to shoot images that explore the passage of time in ways that the human eye cannot see.
-How to get the most out of your landscape images by shooting with live view, manual exposure and manual focus.
-How to shoot amazing images of flowing water and other moving subjects, using slow shutter speeds and neutral density filters.
-How to capture a long series of still photographs and turn these images into a smooth time-lapse video clip using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop CC.
-How to predict where the sun, the moon and the Milky Way will be on any day, using your smartphone or tablet.
WHEN: 8/3/19 – 8/6/19
WHERE: Manzanita, Oregon
Important: This workshop is not for beginner photographers. You will need a working knowledge of the exposure controls on your camera, and a sturdy tripod, to enjoy this workshop. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic is also highly recommended for all participants.
